When things look different than how we expected
and we’ve been to hell and back,
it’s only natural to feel a bit of trepidation moving forward.
The old adage, plays subconsciously in our mind:
fool me once, shame on you
Fool me twice, shame on me.
And yet, underneath that pesky voice, there is a current that cuts through the noise and speaks a Truer truth
when we’re willing to be still long enough to hear it — and feel it:
“ There is hope in unlikely places.”
Hope feels foolish to those who haven’t tasted it
but to those who have, it’s sweetness is unparalleled.
So as we enter a new year, I want to encourage us all to focus on the here and now — reality in-the-thick-of-it.
In the moments we want to give up , throw in the town, walk away and forget it all, we must remember:
We’ve made it through the narrow passage way before
and we shall do it again.
No, this isn’t for the faint of heart.
But we are no match for this present darkness.
Because We ARE the Living Light clothed in human flesh.
We are not a problem to overcome, but THE solution
waiting to be found and rediscovered…
The answer is always right under our nose
hidden in plain sight.
If in this moment, you doubt me or fail to grasp what I’m even suggesting, that’s OK.
I welcome you exactly as you are, to re-turn and re-member with me.
In the shadow hours of this weekend, I offer you my hope and prayer for all in 2022:
That we would not loose Faith
— in ourselves, each other, and The Divine
— in what is possible through, by and with Love
For it is our greatest Garment.
That we may release our deepest hurts and disappointments, remembering and reclaiming the liturgy of our hearts
For it is The Sacred Heart of God
The very heart beat of our world
… A world that needs us
To fulfill our Divine purpose, for the benefit of all beings.
May we be courageous enough to take up the mantel of Soveigntry and wear it boldly for ALL the see
So they too, may believe what is possible
I welcome that Healing Light and Presence now,
to be the steadiness and equilibrium in which we walk, through these changing times.
